About the event

"From Diabolical to Dateable: The Evolution of Vampires in Literature and Film" with Dr. Erica McCrystal

Originally rooted in folklore, vampires have transformed from terrifying, disease-spreading monsters to sensitive, love-interest characters. Dr. Erica McCrystal will take us on a journey to look at how vampires have evolved through centuries. Come hear about the ways that popular characters have influenced new iterations of vampires, keeping these creatures truly immortal.
