Evening of Poetry

 Join us for an evening of poetry with Melissa Elder and Nicole Poko!

Melissa Elder will be reading from her recently published book of poetry, Nostalgia. 

The poetry of Nostalgia highlights the memories of the melancholy, the struggle, and the joy of a single life, Melissa's life. Memories that evoke feelings we all share either as the star of the show or from the front row in our journey of life. Moments that have shaped and defined us, whether we wanted them to or not. 

Bio Melissa Elder lives on the east coast in Jersey with her husband and two girls amongst the trees. She loves the written word, and enjoys writing words, too. She is the author of The Mundane, her first book of poetry published in 2022. Nostalgia is her second book.

Nicole Poko will be reading from her recent poetry.

Nicole Poko is an NJ native and owner of a cozy café in Main Street, High Bridge. She has a BFA from Montclair State University and a post-graduate degree from the School of Visual Arts. Her work has been featured in NJ Indy and the Journal For New Jersey Poets.
