Join us for a special author event in honor of L Lambertville's Zine Fest, featuring two acclaimed cartoonists, Jennifer Hayden and Emily Steinberg, both exploring personal storytelling and visual expression.

Jennifer Hayden will speak about her work and celebrated graphic novel Where There's Smoke, There's Dinner: Confessions of a Cartoonist Cook. Hayden's graphic memoir blends comics with satirical recipes to explore the intersections of food, feminism, frustration, and family.

Emily Steinberg’s work explores the power of graphic narratives to tell deeply personal and socially resonant stories. Steinberg’s visual narratives blending illustration and memoir, and offers a unique window into themes of identity, mental health, and everyday life.

Jennifer Hayden is a graphic novelist whose new food memoir Where There’s Smoke, There’s Dinner: Confessions of a Cartoonist Cook is a hand-painted tribute to her love of cookbook illustration as well as her utter hatred of making dinner every night.
