Tween Literature Circle- New afternoon sessions during May!
Ages 10-14
The tween literature circle is a part book club and a part writing workshop exploring different literary genres. During weekly sessions, the group will choose a book to read and discuss, serving as a mentor text, and an inspiration for our own creative writing. We will consider the techniques the writer employs and try these in our own writing. Students will be encouraged to share their writing and will give supportive feedback to one another, in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

The Tween Literature Circle will be meeting on Tuesdays at 4:30pm-5:45pm
Starting May 2nd- May 30th (May 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th)
Cost $160 per 5-week cycle, including a book!

Registration ends April 20th

Taught by Sally Zeiner
Sally Zeiner has always been a teacher and a writer; she spent her childhood playing school and telling stories and has never stopped. As a teacher, she cultivates a learning community that will nurture creativity which gives life purpose and empower children to pursue their ideas with confidence. Sally has taught all ages and many subjects, but her favorites are philosophy, ethics, and writing. Sally earned an M.A. at Teachers College, Columbia University, and currently teaches middle school English at The Willow School. Her favorite thing is to sit in the river when it is low with a book and a notebook in her lap. When she is not reading or writing, she enjoys hiking, kayaking, and hanging out at home with her family, three old dogs, and a multitude of other miscellaneous pets.
